Maia, based all the way in UK, found me quite by accident on Flickr and stumbled onto my website which, at that time, I had gotten to work only two days before. After having seen some of my work here, she commissioned me to come up with a character illustration of a kokeshi doll, a logo, a banner for her Ebay store and a design for her business card. It was a pleasure working with her– she knew what she wanted right from the start which made coming up with the designs a breeze, plus she was veerrrrry friendly and easy to talk to. After having experienced all sorts of difficult and indecisive clients at my former day job, I can easily say that Maia was one of the best clients I’ve ever worked with. She’s putting up her e-commerce site soon! www.kikai-fashion.com redirects to her Ebay UK site for now but we hope to see it point to her in-the-works website one of these days :)

The image on your left is my (crude) preliminary sketch for the kokeshi doll design and the final output, rendered first in Illustrator and finished in Photoshop.

Is it fair for me to leave the 1st comment? LoL..

Thanks for the feature. I was blushing reading through the “one of the best client” bit… and I thought I was such a pain and that you’d give up on me in the end. :)

Anyway, a gazillion thanks for the wonderful job you have done for me. I adore the logo and have always been grateful bumping into your site outof the blue… You have been absolutely brilliant, very professional, not mentioning super talented in what you do. I only gave you a vague idea about what I wanted and you have exceeded my expectation by coming up with a smashing final product. I know you’ll go along long way and I’ll definitely spread the word around. Again, thank you so much and all the best!
