A random drawing I made this afternoon after classes were called off due to a typhoon.

Ink, watercolor, and Photoshop. This is extremely different from the cutesy illustration stuff I tend to gravitate towards– I think it’s nice to try out different styles every once in a while!

An experiment

I see a lot of art that for me are crap but still manage to attract certain audiences. So as an experiment, I came up with this, a mixed media piece (acrylic, ink, colored pencil) on 5″x7″ canvas board. It’s far from anything I usually do. I think it’s pretty ugly. But you know what they say– One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Also, more appropriately, art is subjective (ever see splotches of paint on a canvas passing themselves off as art and selling for thousands of dollars?!?).

Anyway, I’m curious to see what happens; see if there are people who will appreciate this. I listed it over at Etsy. Who knows? Someone just might think it looks great hanging over their bathroom.

Creatures From Outer Space, 5″x7″ original canvas painting. Available for sale here. :P
