Happy 1st of the month! I can’t believe it’s already March. I almost missed uploading this today as I forgot February has only 28 days. Bitin. Here’s this month’s calendar wallpaper download, hopefully something to get you ready for spring! Which we don’t have here in Manila, by the way.

Unlike my other wallpaper downloads, there is just one size available (1600 x 1200 pixels) but it’ll fit all screens. On your computer’s wallpaper settings, just choose “fit to screen” or “center” (or similar) and adjust the border/background color of your desktop to match, if applicable.

There’s also an iPhone lock screen version so it’s super convenient to quickly check this month’s dates without having to unlock your phone and look for the calendar app. Just download it from the link below and set it as your lock screen wallpaper– no need to scale and adjust.

A day late, but here’s this month’s calendar wallpaper download. This is as Valentine-y as it gets, as I dislike the “holiday” and mushy sentiments and Hallmark cheesiness in general.

And since I have a few very good and very makulit (insistent) friends who use a Samsung Galaxy SIII, I made a version for the Galaxy SIII’s lock screen as well, seeing that the SIII is currently the most popular Android model. Free printable Christmas gift tags (2012)

Where did the entire year go?! I can’t believe 2012 is coming to a close =| You know what they say– time files when you’re having fun, and have fun I did this year! So much that I didn’t realize there’s only 13 days to go before Christmas, eek! And so I’m uploading this year’s batch of free Christmas printables– 2 days earlier than last year’s (hey, better late than never!).

This year, I’m doing away with the traditional red and green Christmas colors and opting for a still Christmas-y blue, red, and silver. Classy. Also offsetting the clean vector lines in the illustrations with some hand-drawn, scribbly text to give these tags a “made by human hands” look. You get six tags all in all, laid out and ready to print on a single PDF sheet. Just print and cut! It would be great to print these out on cardstock, or on photo paper to get those vibrant, saturated colors. Personally, I would print these on sticker paper (matte or glossy) and just slap them on on my gifts :)

Excuse the politically-correct and neutral holiday messages; I originally made these illustrations for my agent/art licensing portfolio so I had to appeal to most demographics, hence the political-correctness (which I’m not a fan of!). Next year I’ll be sure to include some good old MERRY CHRISTMAS text just to piss off the overly-sensitive ;P

St. Patrick’s Day free desktop wallpaper and sewing pattern

Quick post. For those looking for my St. Patrick’s Day wallpaper and PDF pattern (I’ve been getting search hits on my blog leading to a 404 error– I deleted all my past entries a few months ago), you can download them here:

We don’t celebrate St. Patrick’s Day here in the Philippines but this little freebie has been bringing in hits to my site during March of every year, pushing my hits 3x more than the usual. Anyway, Happy St. Patty’s Day to all those who celebrate it!

In other news, I’ve been quiet on the blog front as I’m busy working on simultaneous projects (good problem to have) but I’m pretty active on Instagram, so add me there: @wedgienet. I’ll also try updating my Facebook page every now and then. I’m leaving for a long “working vacation” in April so I’m doing as much work as I can squeeze in this month so come April, so there’s less work and more vacation :P

So hang around for a while. I’ve got lots of new illustrations, drawings, and crafty DIY side projects to show you guys in the coming weeks :)

iPhone retina wallpapers

I’ve updated my iPhone wallpapers for the iPhone 4/4S. I had a 3rd generation iPod Touch where I’m using one of my illustrations as a wallpaper for the lock screen. It looked fine, but when I got an iPhone 4S, the same wallpaper looked blurry and pixelated due to the upgrade to a retina screen. I then reworked the existing iPhone wallpapers I have for download to fit the new resolution of the iPhone 4/4S, and added some new designs for both iPhone and desktop.

The iPhone wallpapers work best when set for the lock screen; they are already sized to fit so you won’t need to scale or adjust. Check out the Downloads page to get these, as well as their desktop counterparts and other wallpaper designs. I’ll be adding more wallpapers from time to time!

Illustration Friday: Messenger

In an effort to get back to Illustration Friday, I am shamelessly re-posting an old drawing as it’s a fit for this week’s topic, Messenger.

I drew this a year ago on Odosketch, a simple, online drawing app with limited, muted colors and no undo function.

Throwing in an unrelated, just-finished drawing also made on Odosketch. It’s a drunk cat! No particular reason for the drawing but I did just buy a couple of bottles of San Mig Light just waiting to be opened (which I will get to after I post this) :D

The interesting thing about Odosketch is that you can replay your drawing stroke by stroke, mistakes and all! See the replay of the bear here and the drunk cat here :3
