Yes, I’ve fallen off the radar when it comes to this blog. Yes, the pictures on this post have been posted elsewhere (i.e. my Flickr, Tumblr, this site’s sketch category). This is essentially a rehash. I’m trying to blog semi-regularly again. Here’s some new and not-so-new sketches!

My Cupcake Bears are a fusion of two of my favorite things: cupcakes, and bears. Cupcakes made a boom here locally about two or three years ago and are still going strong. My favorite cupcake place is Sonja’s Cupcakes in Serendra where I get my favorite Valrhona Chocolate cupcakes. Nom nom!
Anyway, this is a design I’ve had sitting around in some forgotten folder on my hard drive when I remembered I had it about a month ago. I took it out for a spin and reworked this illustration until I got what you see now in the picture above. I’ve since put these cupcake bears on various products on my Etsy shop and reception has been great.
