TV Patrol World
in Motion Graphics
My first job was as a motion graphics artist for the daily prime time news. TV Patrol is the longest-running news program in the Philippines (20 years at the time of writing) and I worked with a team of artists on this show for three years until I resigned in April 2008. It was artistically-boring work most of the time– glorified typing jobs showing viewers how much oil was per barrel and such (but we do scene/accident simulations and breaking news titlecards as well sometimes), but provided for excellent training in working fast in a stressful and fast-paced news environment.
