One of my last projects with the TV network before I resigned was this OBB for the Floyd Mayweather vs. Ricky Hatton boxing match which our station had gotten broadcasting rights to. Due to the “manliness” of the project, regular boxing specials such as these are usually assigned to a male artist (my friend Joubert!) but he happened to be loaded with other projects at that time so I soon found myself working with footage of sweaty men in shiny shorts involved in a sport I know nothing (and don’t care to know anything) about.

A short, animated titlecard for Umagang Kay Ganda’s (an early morning news magazine show) Tree of Hope project where they helped put up a school in a remote village in time for Christmas.

Logo studies for The World Tonight, a nightly news program that airs on ANC. They asked me to come up with studies for the show’s broadcast redesign. The one on top is what they decided to go with.

Balitang Middle East, aired on The Filipino Channel, is a weekly news program for overseas Filipino workers in the Middle East. The show undergoes a broadcast redesign yearly and a red-green-yellow color scheme is what they wanted for 2007. These are screencaps from the OBB I made. (See 2006 design here)

Noypi, one of my regular shows back in my old TV job, produced a special episode where the show went to the island of Cebu to conduct their social experiments. For this, they wanted a new, “special OBB” just for that episode. This is the 30+ second OBB I made– took me around 4 hours to finish the whole thing (it was a rush job).

One of my regular shows when I was working in a TV station was Noypi, a weekly news-magazine hosted by comedian Gabe Mercado that showcases the real traits of the common Filipino by conducting social experiments. It was fun doing the graphics for the show at first; the light and casual premise made for some very fun graphics but it was a show that relied heavily on post-production to liven it up video-wise (they made do with a lot of hidden cameras and spy cams in conducting their experiments). When it first started, I was the lone graphics artist churning out their graphics requirements but eventually I found myself working with a team of 3 or 4 others as the workload increased.
